My client based in Woodstock is currently looking for a Senior Test Analyst - Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to join their team on a contract basis.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business and functional requirements to design comprehensive test scenarios and detailed test cases
• Execute functional, system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing for WMS-related changes
• Ensure test coverage accurately reflects real-world warehouse operations and constraints
• Identify, log, manage, and retest defects, ensuring clear documentation and traceability
• Validate system fixes and support release readiness and sign-off processes
• Apply deep WMS knowledge to assess solution quality, operational suitability, and business fit
• Validate complex system configurations, workflows, and operational scenarios
• Test integrations between WMS and other enterprise systems to ensure transactional integrity and data consistency
• Provide quality-focused input during requirement reviews, highlighting operational risks and gaps
• Perform backend validation using SQL to confirm system behaviour and test outcomes
• Investigate defects and discrepancies through data analysis
• Conduct data reconciliation across integrated systems to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and operational stakeholders to clarify requirements and expected outcomes
• Support business users during UAT, including defect triage and impact analysis
• Communicate testing progress, quality risks, and results clearly and professionally
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies, standards, and documentation
• Maintain full traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior test analysts where required

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years' experience as a Test Analyst, with strong exposure to Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Proven hands-on testing experience across complex enterprise environments
• Deep understanding of warehouse operations and WMS functionality, including system rules, configurations, and operational flows
• Strong SQL capability, including writing complex queries for data validation, reconciliation, and defect analysis
• Demonstrated experience in functional, system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing

• Proven experience using Azure DevOps for test case management, defect tracking, and traceability
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail, particularly in high-volume, transaction-driven environments
• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) SQL-based databases Azure DevOps (test management and defect management) Enterprise system integrations (ERP, TMS, OMS, and related platforms) Experience within logistics, retail, distribution, or FMCG sectors
• Exposure to ERP platforms
• Involvement in large-scale system implementations or warehouse go-live projects
• ISTQB or equivalent testing certification
